Organisation

We are a private law chamber of commerce. This means that the membership is voluntary and all activities are financed by revenues from members and services. This differentiates us from a lot of other public law Chambers in Europe, that are partly governmental organisations with mandatory membership.

The organisation is governed by the members, who elect a policymaking "chamber" of commerce consisting of CEO:s from member companies. The members also elect a board of members who implement and promote the Chamber of Commerces policies and objectives. In addition to that we have seven regional boards of members for local perspectives. Since we are non-governmental and the agenda is set by the member companies we are often regarded as a trusted third part.
